The Employability Trust is delighted that Craig Savage, today passed the course to become a Fork Lift Training Instructor
Craig, 23 and from Easington first came to the Employability Trust on 30th June this year on the Work Experience Programme as a fork lift driver. However, it quickly became apparent that Craig had great leadership skills and had the potential to work as a trainer.
The Trust had a opening for a Fork Lift trainer and saw Craig had the ability to fill that role and would be an ideal addition to the team, so they secured the funding from Durham County Council to pay for the two week course and gave Craig all the practice he needed in the warehouse at their Peterlee factory base.
At midday today Bill Marley, Chief Executive of the Trust got the phone call he had been waiting for from Craig to say he had passed the course. A delighted Bill said 'It great to have Craig on the team, and he is a great example of a success story for us'
